# Session notes

> Attach internal notes to individual sessions so your team has the context they need on the day.

Session notes are short, internal messages you attach to a specific session on the **What's On** calendar. They're visible to staff with admin access but never shown to customers — useful for one-off instructions, briefings, or operational reminders.

## Add a note

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the session">
    On the **What's On** calendar, click the session you want to annotate.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the note">
    Below the **Instructors** heading, type your message and click **Add note**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    The note is timestamped and shown to anyone who opens the session.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Notes are stamped with the date and time they were created, so the team can see when an instruction was added.

## Edit or delete a note

Open the session and click **Edit** next to the note. From there you can:

* Update the text and click **Save** to keep the note with new content.
* Click **Delete** to remove it entirely.

A confirmation appears in the bottom-left after each change.

## Good uses for session notes

* "Bring extra wetsuits — group includes two beginners."
* "Booked through Adventuro — confirm pickup at marina office."
* "Customer has a knee injury, see customer profile for details."
* "Buy pizza for the trainee team!"

<Note>
  Session notes are visible only to staff with the right [permissions](/staff/permissions). They are not sent to customers and do not appear in any [automated emails](/customers/notifications) or [workflows](/integrations/workflows).
